Strength in numbers! West One Loans' sales force boost 'critical to growth'

West One Loans sales director Marie Grundy says strengthening the company's sales force is a critical component of its growth strategy.

Her comments come after the leading specialist property finance lender announced the doubling of its sales team, with the addition of two business development managers and the expansion of its broker support team.

The lender is expanding its national coverage as part of ambitious growth plans. This includes growing its core bridging business, as well as building its second charge mortgages and future new lending streams.

John Steel, who joins from specialist lender Together, will cover new business development in the North of England and Scotland; Matthew Watson, who has transferred from West One’s parent company, Enra Group, will take responsibility for the south coast and south west.

In addition, Lauren Snee and Laura Hollis will expand back office support for West One’s brokers, and will support newly-promoted Broker Sales Manager, Danny Scoltock.

The appointments come just two months after West One reported a record month, lending £62m in June 2017. The company has enjoyed strong growth at a time when the wider bridging market has been showing moderate expansion, resulting in increased market share within the bridging sector.
