Bridging Finance Solutions' John Hardman has told of his delight at the business's deal to sponsor a new Dragons' Den-style TV programme being aired on the Sky Property channel next month.

Mr Hardman, head of sales at the company, was speaking after the announcement of a partnership agreement with producers of the show, ‘Property Elevator’.

BFS are sole sponsors of the new programme and will provide funding to would-be developers who have survived and thrived in front of a panel of seasoned property experts. Filming is set to begin in January and the first of five shows will be aired in February on Sky’s Property TV.

And Mr Hardman says he expects the show to be well received given that it will satisfy a demand in the scheduling. He added: “We’re incredibly excited to be involved in the pilot of Property Elevator. The concept is a tried and tested one that I feel will work incredibly well in the property arena. Our role is to provide bridging funding to the developer who finds success following their time/grilling in front of the taskmasters/panel and their project considered a viable one.”

The programme is the brainchild of author and property developer John Howard, who has worked closely with the team at BFS for many years. He explained: “I’ve been working on the development of this project for some time. I’ve always admired the Dragons' Den programme and recognised the potential synergies this could have with the property sector.

“It’s fantastic to see this program taken on by Sky who have shown huge enthusiasm for the concept and we’re now keen to press ahead with production later this month.”

Mr Howard added: “Getting the right team in place, both in front of the camera and in terms of back end support, was vital. I knew that BFS would be an ideal fit as part of the wider team and I’m really pleased to have them on board providing external advice and insight into the funding aspect of the sometimes-complex property development process.”

Property TV is the only television channel in the UK dedicated to the topic of 'property' and includes the wider topics of investment and lifestyle. A blurb for the channel says: "We create, package and distribute news, entertainment, commercials and corporate content on our multiple platforms in the UK and further afield. Tune into our channel on Sky 189 to watch our original and unique content.”
